LifeOffline is the app that is driving a new social movement that will help us put down our phones, go offline and rediscover our friends, our families, ourselves and our surroundings. We stare at our phones for hours during the day, picking them up at an astonishing rate of over 100 times a day. With that much attention devoted to these tiny screens, we are getting more and more distracted in our interactions with people, places and our own thoughts. LifeOffline reminds us to Go Offline every day, putting our phones away and muting the distractions, so we can engage with our kids, make eye contact with our spouse and speak with our friends. Oh, and just so we re not alone in this, it helps us get them to put their phones down, too. ** Quality Time- Just hit the Go Offline button and put down the distractions. Talk with someone (making eye-contact), take in the scenery, enjoy the peacefulness, uni-task. Whether it s just for 10 minutes or more than an hour, GoOffing has been shown to improve your wellbeing, your relationships and your ability to focus. ** Offline Wellbeing Meter- An indicator to show us how we re doing with respect to our daily offline goals. Worried about a friend? You can check up on how they re doing by checking their meter. ** Challenges- Know someone who has a hard time putting their phone down? Challenge them to go offline. Whether it is your father, your daughter or your best friend, create a personal challenge just for them! Not challenging enough? Keep an eye out for special Challenges from us. ** GoOff with Me- Want to spend some time with someone without being interrupted by their (or your) notifications, buzzes and beeps? Want to show someone that you re all ears (and eyes)? Send them a spontaneous message to GoOff with you. ** Rewards- GoOffing has it s own rewards; spending quality time with your loved ones and quality time by yourselves. That s not all; we ll surprise you with tangible rewards from time to time for staying offline, establishing personal records, GoOffing with friends, and more ** Mementoes- While GoOffing, feel free to take some photos. You ll be able to share them with your friends once you go back online.
